After 30 years in corporate sales in the chemical and parts distribution industries, Jim Reed, has taken on a new venture in the world of corporate signage. Reed, and wife, Arlyn, opened Leading Edge Signs & Imaging in Bethlehem, PA in June 2012.
Leading Edge Signs is not a franchise, but one of 260 privately owned sign companies that are run as affiliates of the 25-year-old sign company, Sign World.
"As a member of one of the largest national networks of sign companies, we have a substantial vendor network which allows us to compete successfully even on those projects we can't do in house. And although we're new, our graphic design and production staff have extensive experience,” said Reed.“Combined with the access to our national network, we are confident we can handle any project."
“My focus is on repeat business and relationship building with companies that will have ongoing signage needs,” he said.
Locally owned and operated, the Bethlehem office is equipped to handle exterior and interior signs for buildings, including wall and floor graphics. It also has an overhead garage door entrance (shown at left) to the office where vehicles can be driven inside for on-site wraps, decals or truck lettering.
Arlyn Reed highlights the company's use of 100 percent-recyclable eco-friendly products, saying, "All our large format printing is done using latex ink; no solvent-containing products are used," she said. "We believe being 'green' matters to the corporate customer."
